Support for Every Stage of Your Journey
Whether you're navigating change, building healthier habits, pursuing a meaningful athletic goal, or simply looking for a different way forward, Whitecap offers coaching that meets you where you are. Together, we'll discover what matters most, build on your strengths, and create sustainable momentum toward the life and health you want.
What Is Health & Wellness Coaching?
Health is deeply personal. We all know that lasting change isn't simply about having more information, it's about finding a way forward that fits your life, your values, and your circumstances.
Health and wellness coaching is a collaborative partnership designed to help you navigate change with greater confidence and clarity. Rather than telling you what to do, we work together to explore what's important to you, identify what's getting in the way, and create realistic, sustainable steps that move you toward your goals. Whether you're managing a health condition, building healthier habits, navigating a life transition, or simply wanting to feel your best, coaching meets you where you are.
My coaching is grounded in motivational interviewing, an evidence-informed communication approach that helps people discover their own motivation for change. Instead of advice or pressure, you'll experience thoughtful questions, genuine curiosity, and a space where you can reflect without judgment. Research shows that people are far more likely to create lasting change when the motivation comes from within.
I also draw on evidence-informed coaching practices, meaning our conversations are guided by current research while recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we'll build practical strategies that are realistic, meaningful, and designed to work in your everyday life, not just for a few weeks, but for the long term.
Is Coaching Right for Me?
Are you?
Focusing on healthy aging
Navigating a major life transition
Building healthier habits
Recovering from illness or injury
Managing stress or burnout
Preparing for retirement
Managing menopause
Training for an athletic goal
Returning to health after a setback
Looking for greater balance and purpose
Don't see yourself here? Coaching begins with your goals, not a diagnosis.
What Will You Come Away With?
Coaching is personal, so what you take away will depend on what you're working toward. Along the way, we turn the conversation into something practical. You may leave coaching with:
A clear goal and direction
A better-defined picture of what you want to change and why it matters.
Meaningful progress toward your health goals
You may accomplish goals, make changes, build healthier habits and work through challenges that have been getting in your way.
A personalized action plan
Realistic next steps designed around your priorities, circumstances and life.
Strategies for the things that get in your way
Practical approaches for navigating barriers, setbacks and changing circumstances.
Tools you can continue to use
Exercises, strategies and resources selected around what you're working on, not a one-size-fits-all program.
Greater confidence in moving forward
Confidence built through taking action, learning what works for you and seeing yourself make progress.
A plan for maintaining your progress
An understanding of what's working, how you'll continue building on it, and how you'll respond when life inevitably gets in the way.
Choose the Support That's Right for You
Every client begins with a complimentary Discovery Call. Together, we'll explore your goals and recommend the coaching experience that's right for you.

One-on-one coaching tailored to your goals, health, and stage of life.
Whether you're navigating early adulthood, balancing work and family, pursuing better health, living with a chronic condition, or redefining wellness as you age, coaching is designed around you.
We begin with a foundation session where I take time to understand your story, your strengths, your challenges, and what matters most to you. From there, each session builds on your progress as we explore habits, motivation, values, and sustainable strategies that help you create meaningful, lasting change.
Together, we'll build confidence through small, consistent actions that create momentum toward the life and health you want.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A Discovery Call is a complimentary 30-minute conversation where we get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you to coaching, what you'd like to achieve, and whether Whitecap is the right fit for your needs. There's no pressure or obligation, it's simply an opportunity to explore what's possible.
-
Coverage varies depending on your insurance provider and plan. Some extended health benefits or wellness spending accounts may reimburse health and wellness coaching. If you're unsure, I recommend checking with your insurance provider before your first appointment.

Coaching and counselling can both provide valuable support, but they serve different purposes. Health and wellness coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process that helps you move from where you are now toward where you'd like to be. Rather than telling you what to do, coaching helps you clarify what matters to you, identify your own goals, explore what's getting in the way, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. Along the way, you build greater awareness, confidence and skills that can support lasting change.
Counselling may focus on emotional distress, mental health concerns, relationships, past experiences, or other issues affecting your well-being. Coaching can complement counselling, but it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Coaching is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, or medical care. When another type of support would be more appropriate, I'll encourage you to seek it.
-
Most clients meet every two to four weeks, depending on their goals and preferences. We'll decide together what level of support feels right for you, and your coaching plan can change as your needs evolve.

Yes. Coaching is available virtually by secure video, making it easy to connect wherever you are. In-person coaching is also available.

Not at all. You don't need to be fit, know where to start, or have everything figured out. Health coaching meets you where you are today. Whether you're recovering from illness, managing a chronic condition, navigating a life transition, training for a personal goal, or simply wanting to feel healthier, coaching is about taking the next meaningful step, not being perfect.
